The Dog Rescue Foundation CIC
PAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
The Dog Rescue Foundation has various programs, all aimed at supporting dogs in need - including general welfare, homeless dogs, and especially dog rescue. We depend on your support in order to improve lives and make the world a better place for our canine friends.
NEWS UPDATE: FOLLOWING A PAUSE IN OUR OPERATIONS DURING MUCH OF 2020-21, WE ARE PLEASED TO NOW BE OPERATING ONCE AGAIN!
Our vision: "A world where every dog has a safe home and good quality of life."
Our mission: To support rescue, shelter, fostering and dog welfare - across the UK and locally.
Who We Are
Local & National
Inspired by a life-changing event, The Dog Rescue Foundation is based in North-West England and we pride ourselves on being an enthusiastic and innovative organisation, trying hard to improve the lives of dogs in need across England, Wales & Scotland.
We are proud members of Cumbria CVS, the Small Charities Coalition, and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations - and our operational procedures follow The Fundraising Code.
How We Help
We are a small team who try to create as much impact as we can :)
We are focused on helping dogs in need in the UK. Every donation and every product sold goes towards making our world a better place, so if you’re looking to contribute a donation or your time, please get in touch today - it is always appreciated.
PAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
One of the key purposes of The Dog Rescue Foundation is to provide direct financial and product support to the great many volunteer-run rescue organisations around the UK, such as shelters, rescue centres and re-housing projects. We are dedicating a lot of time and resources to our charitable causes, and hope you’ll help us continue this work. With your help, we are able to transform the lives of vulnerable dogs in many areas of England & Wales.
Ownership & Education
GIVE A DOG A HOME
One of the biggest challenges is finding (responsible!) "pet parents" to adopt each of the rescue dogs. We will soon be launching a series of initiatives under the "Give a Dog a Home" campaign, with the aim of finding great people who are able to permanently adopt (or temporarily foster) a dog. Please also watching this space regarding the forthcoming DAILY BARK initiative!
DOG TREAT FUNDRAISING
We have a successful charitable fundraising project whereby members of the public donate directly to us. We also receive a small percentage of revenue via the sales of a unique range of hospitality-themed dog treats.
Are you another dog organisation or charity?
Would you consider collaborating with us or taking part in one of our projects?
Moreover, we may be able to help you with donations of food or finance. Decisions are made based on our open & transparent grant-making policy, however the following areas are usually not supported:
Charities outside of the UK (restricted to 10% of our resources).
Individual members of the public.
Organisations offering only sanctuary to animals, with no focus to rehabilitate or rehome or foster (except in particular circumstances).
Organisations that spend an unreasonable amount of monies on admin, salaries or overheads, or otherwise resulting in an unrealistic cost per animal helped.
Veterinary schools (unless for exceptional cases).
Charities with cash or investments exceeding 1 year's expenditure (unless our support is for a specific project).
